Materials Handling Maintenance and Repair

Background
The California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Facilities Management Section, is soliciting bids for manual preventative maintenance for forklifts and scissor lifts at the CDPH Richmond campus. The goal is to award a single contract to the most responsive and responsible firm offering the lowest cost.

Work Details
The contractor will provide semi-annual preventive maintenance, emergency services, and cleanup services for the following equipment:

- One (1) Electric Toyota Forklift
- Two (2) Electric Toyota Forklifts
- One (1) Hyster Forklift Truck
- One (1) Komatsu Forklift
- Two (2) EKKO Stand-Up Rider Forklifts
- One (1) Toyota Forklift Truck
- One (1) Genie Scissor Lift
- One (1) Genie Man Lift.

All equipment details are specified in Exhibit A entitled 'Scope of Work'. The total budget for this agreement shall not exceed $149,999.99.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract term is from December 1, 2025, to November 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at the California Department of Public Health Richmond campus.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with California's Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation requirements of 3% on contracts exceeding $5,000. Proposals without this minimum DVBE participation will be deemed non-responsive. Bidders must also provide evidence of experience in maintaining material handling equipment and meet specific qualifications outlined in the solicitation.
