Managed Services For Sap Center Of Excellence (COE)

Background
The Sacramento Municipal Utility District (SMUD) is issuing this Request for Proposal (RFP) to engage a qualified vendor to provide managed services supporting its SAP Center of Excellence (CoE). This initiative aims to ensure reliable operational support for the current SAP environment as internal teams prepare for an upcoming S/4HANA implementation. SMUD's SAP ecosystem includes key modules such as FI/CO, CRM, and IS-U, supporting approximately 3,000 employees. The selected vendor will collaborate closely with in-house teams to maintain system stability and facilitate knowledge transfer for migration readiness.

Work Details
The vendor will provide support services in the following areas of the SAP Enterprise Solutions for SMUD:

1. SAP BASIS Administration
2. SAP Development
3. SAP Security and Authorization Management
4. SAP Functional Support including but not limited to:
a. SAP FI/CO
b. SAP Treasury
c. SAP ECCS
d. SAP FERC
e. OpenText VIM/IES
f. SAP LO/WM/IM/MM/PUR
g. SAP SD/AR
h. SAP WM Mobile
i. SAP Fiori
j. SAP Reporting
k. SAP PS
l. SAP BPC
m. SAP FI/LO/HCM/PM integrations
n. SAP PM/EAM
o. SAP IS-U (Industry Solution for Utilities)
p. SAP CRM
q. SAP BI/BW
r. SAP BOBJ reporting
s. BW reporting
t. Other modules as mutually agreed.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to include a ramp-up and transition plan within 30 calendar days from contract award.

Place of Performance
Services will be delivered remotely using US-based resources or on-site as agreed upon.

Bidder Requirements
Proposers must demonstrate experience in providing AMS support for SAP, including Basis administration, Development, Functional modules, and application Security; capability to provide tailored support specifically for utilities; ability to deliver 24 x 7 x 365 support with guaranteed response times; provide a minimum of two client references; and formally accept defined exit criteria as part of the contract terms.
