Main Jail Medical Flooring Replacement (Floor 2)

Background
The County of Sacramento, through its Department of General Services, is issuing a contract for the replacement of medical flooring on the second floor of the Main Jail.
The project aims to ensure that all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental work are provided to satisfactorily complete the flooring replacement in compliance with applicable regulations and specifications.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and other incidental work to complete the project.
Specific tasks include:
1. Installation of resilient sheet flooring - BioSpec Armor by Mannington Mills, Inc., in color Koala OR105.
2. Installation of Mannington IdealBase Thermoplastic Rubber Type TP wall base in blackbrown color.
3. Compliance with all specifications outlined in sections 09 65 16 and 09 65 13.13 regarding flooring and wall base installation.
4. Adherence to security protocols due to the nature of the work being conducted in a facility accessible to inmates.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to be completed within 30 calendar days from the specified start date as outlined in Section 7-1 of the Standard Construction Specifications.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Main Jail located at 651 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must comply with specific security requirements including background checks for all personnel entering the facility.
All contractors must submit a clearance package including personal information for each worker at least 7-10 business days prior to their expected entry into the facility.
Additionally, contractors must adhere to safety regulations and operational procedures as specified by the Sheriff's Department.
