Description

The Lower Central Interceptor Rehabilitation Project involves the comprehensive rehabilitation of the existing Central Interceptor, spanning approximately 6.6 miles from the Bradshaw/Central Junction Structure to the Influent Junction Structure. The scope of work includes furnishing all necessary labor, materials, tools, and equipment to complete the project. The rehabilitation will primarily be executed through Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) lining, covering approximately 1,317 linear feet of 120-inch gravity sewer, 4,627 linear feet of 108-inch gravity sewer, 22,958 linear feet of 102-inch gravity sewer, and 6,129 linear feet of 84-inch gravity sewer. Additional tasks include pre-lining CCTV inspection, pre-lining cleaning and spoils disposal, post-lining CCTV inspection, construction of lining access shafts, and restoration activities. The project also requires the installation of nine cross connections between the Lower Central and Bradshaw Interceptors, rehabilitation of 36 manholes, and rehabilitation of eight sanitary sewer structures. Associated work will take place within both public rights-of-way and easements on private property, with the project area located entirely within Sacramento County, including portions within the City of Sacramento and unincorporated Sacramento County. This solicitation is issued by the relevant authority overseeing infrastructure projects within Sacramento County. The contract is designed to address the rehabilitation needs of the Central Interceptor, ensuring continued serviceability and compliance with regulatory requirements. The alignment of the interceptor traverses both city and county jurisdictions, necessitating coordination across multiple agencies and property owners. Contract requirements encompass all aspects of the rehabilitation process, including but not limited to mobilization and demobilization, sanitary sewer flow control and bypass, dewatering of excavations, sheeting, shoring and bracing of excavations, traffic control in accordance with approved plans, erosion and sediment control, cleaning, debris removal and disposal, inspection and testing, permitting, fencing, site and landscaping restoration (in-kind), and any other items or details required by the Contract Documents (plans and specifications). Any additional items or details not specifically mentioned but required by the contract documents are also included. Instructions for submission are not specified in the provided description.
