Lausd | Hamilton High School (BEST-VALUE) - Comprehensive Modernization Contract #2

Background
The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) is issuing a solicitation for the Comprehensive Modernization Contract #2 at Alexander Hamilton High School.

This project aims to modernize and enhance the educational facilities to better serve students and staff. The goal is to construct new buildings and upgrade existing structures while ensuring safety and compliance with current standards.

Work Details
The project scope includes the construction of four new buildings (A, B, C, & D) comprising approximately 59 classrooms and support spaces.

Existing facilities will undergo modernization, including seismic retrofitting of several buildings, installation of new HVAC systems, and minor interior improvements. The project also involves demolishing outdated structures and upgrading safety and technology systems across the campus.

Key staffing requirements include a Project Director, Project Manager, General Superintendent, Safety Director, and various engineering roles to ensure effective project management and execution.

Period of Performance
The overall duration for this contract is 65 months, starting from May 2025 with substantial completion expected by November 2030 and final completion by January 2031.
