Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #07A6136 for landfill site and services in Los Angeles County. The purpose of this contract is to provide a landfill disposal site for various types of waste generated from projects along State Highways and Right-of-Ways in the District 7 Metro Region maintenance area.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide a landfill disposal site for the following waste types:
1) Non-compacted refuse,
2) Green waste (excluding tree stumps),
3) Construction waste, including concrete and asphalt.
The services must be performed within a 25-mile radius of the Caltrans Alameda Maintenance Station located at 1740 East 15th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90004. The contractor will accept all materials delivered by Caltrans Maintenance Crews and must ensure proper disposal in compliance with applicable laws.
The contractor is responsible for all costs associated with the disposal and recycling of these materials.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on July 1, 2025, or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later, and will expire on June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at a landfill site located within a 25-mile radius of the Caltrans Alameda Maintenance Station in Los Angeles County.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified as a Small Business (SB) or Micro Business (MB) to qualify for a five percent preference. Bidders are encouraged to participate in the Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) program, although participation is not mandatory.
All bidders must have their principal place of business located in California and meet specific licensing requirements as outlined in the IFB.
