Janitorial Services in Riverside County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation For Price Quote (IFPQ) # 08A3976 for janitorial services in Riverside County. The purpose of this contract is to ensure a clean and sanitary environment for Caltrans facilities, which aligns with their mission to provide a safe and efficient transportation system. This solicitation is authorized under Government Code Section 14838.5, which allows for the award of contracts valued between $5,000 and $250,000 to certified Small Businesses (SB), Micro Businesses, or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE).

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary labor, tools, materials, cleaning supplies, and equipment to perform janitorial services at the following locations:

1. Caltrans South Region Office
2. Riverside Maintenance Station
3. Banning Maintenance Station
4. Corona Maintenance Station
5. Lake Elsinore Maintenance Station.

Services include vacuuming and mopping floors; cleaning restrooms and kitchens; emptying waste receptacles; filling dispensers; dusting surfaces; cleaning windows; and ensuring proper disposal of recyclable materials. The work frequency includes two times per week for regular services and twice per year for specialized cleaning tasks such as window washing.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on June 17, 2026, and will expire on June 16, 2028.

1. Caltrans South Region Office at 1746 Spruce Street, Riverside, CA 92507
2. Caltrans Riverside Maintenance Station at 1091 Everton Place, Riverside, CA 92507
3. Caltrans Banning Maintenance Station at 2033 East Ramsey Street, Banning, CA 92220
4. Caltrans Corona Maintenance Station at 842 El Sobrante Road, Corona, CA 92879
5. Caltrans Lake Elsinore Maintenance Station at 18745 Conard Avenue, Lake Elsinore, CA 92532.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified as a Small Business (SB) or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) registered with the Department of General Services (DGS). They must also be registered with the Labor Commissioner’s Office at the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Compliance with Government Code Section 19134 regarding employee wages and benefits is required. Additionally, bidders must provide evidence of insurance coverage as specified in the Proposed Form of Agreement.
