Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is issuing an Invitation for Bids (IFB) Number 26C440002 for Janitorial Services at the CHP Hanford Area Office. The CHP's mission is to ensure safety, service, and security on California's highways. This contract aims to provide comprehensive janitorial services to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the office environment.

Work Details
The contractor will be responsible for providing janitorial services as detailed in Exhibit A, 'Scope of Work'. This includes tasks such as:
- Cleaning offices, restrooms, break rooms, and common areas
- Dusting surfaces
- Vacuuming carpets
- Mopping floors
- Disposing of waste

The contractor must ensure that all cleaning supplies used are environmentally friendly and comply with state regulations. Additionally, they must provide all necessary equipment and materials required for the completion of these services.

Period of Performance
The contract is anticipated to commence on October 1, 2026, and will run through September 30, 2027. There is an option for one additional year extension based on performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the CHP Hanford Area Office located at 1565 Glendale Ave., Hanford, CA 93230.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid local business license and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) under California Labor Code Sections 1420-1434. Corporations must certify they are in good standing in California. Non-profit organizations must provide proof of their status. Bidders should have a history of sound business integrity and responsiveness to contractual obligations.

Proof of liability insurance meeting specified requirements must be provided before contract execution. Additionally, all personnel assigned to the contract will undergo a driver license and fingerprint check.
