Jackson Demonstration State Forest Management Plan

Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking consulting services for the management of the Jackson Demonstration State Forest (JDSF) Management Plan. The purpose of the contract is to guide the development of a revised/new Forest Management Plan for the next ten-year period.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to manage public review of the JDSF Management Plan. The contractor will also guide the development of a revised/new Forest Management Plan for the next ten-year period. The contractor must comply with all minimum qualifications for proposers, including being licensed to do business in California, having a business license or incorporation papers, and having a current and valid California Registered Professional Forester as part of their team. The contractor must also demonstrate at least five years' experience in planning and writing forest management plans.

Period of Performance
The RFP outlines a specific time schedule for various events related to the proposal process. The RFP is available from April 5, 2024. The final date for proposal submission is May 28, 2024. Virtual oral interviews are estimated to take place during the week of June 10, 2024. The proposed agreement award date is estimated to be during the week of July 1, 2024.

The contract will be performed in Jackson Demonstration State Forest (JDSF), which is located in California.
