ITB- On-Site Ergonomic Assessment on an As-Needed Basis

Background
The Housing Authority of the City of Alameda (AHA) is seeking bids from qualified professionals to provide on-site ergonomic assessments for staff in Alameda, California. The goal of this contract is to enhance workplace ergonomics and ensure compliance with relevant safety standards, thereby improving employee health and productivity.

Work Details
The consultant will provide preventive ergonomic services on an as-needed basis. Key responsibilities include: conducting office ergonomic evaluations, analyzing job duties and workflows, observing employees' use of ergonomic techniques, training employees on proper ergonomic practices, and submitting written reports within seven calendar days post-evaluation.

The consultant must demonstrate knowledge in various areas such as office workflow setup, safe keyboarding techniques, use of ergonomic products, and compliance with Cal/OSHA ergonomic standards. Specific tasks include:
- Analyzing employee job duties and workflows
- Observing employees during tasks
- Training employees on workstation setup and body mechanics
- Arranging chair fitting sessions when necessary
- Utilizing home department ergonomic equipment.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and will be performed on an as-needed basis until October 29, 2025.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Housing Authority of the City of Alameda located at 701 Atlantic Avenue, Alameda, California.

Bidder Requirements
Consultants must have at least five years of experience in providing ergonomic evaluation and vendor management services, with three years being verifiable. They must possess a current State of California license in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy and a certification in ergonomics from a recognized organization. All necessary permits and professional credentials must be submitted with the bid.
