Iron Mountain Pumping Plant Interim Employee Housing Rehabilitation

Background
The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California is issuing a contract for the Iron Mountain Pumping Plant Interim Employee Housing Rehabilitation project, located in San Bernardino County, CA. The goal of this contract is to perform various residential improvements to enhance the living conditions for employees.

Work Details
The work includes various residential improvements such as:

- Plumbing
- Carpentry
- Flooring
- Doors
- Windows
- Updating lighting and electrical components
- Exterior stucco patching
- Drywall installation
- Interior and exterior painting
- Fence repair
- Roof repair
- HVAC installation and maintenance
- Abatement of materials containing asbestos and lead
- Other appurtenant work as directed by Metropolitan’s representative based on time and materials.

The initial contract amount is not to exceed $250,000.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over a specified period starting from the award date until completion of the work as determined by the Metropolitan Water District.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Iron Mountain Pumping Plant located in San Bernardino County, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a California contractor license (classification A and/or B or B-2) at the time of submitting their bid. They must have experience in residential construction and remodeling. The contractor must also be an EPA-certified renovation firm under Title 40 of the Code of Federal Regulations.

For asbestos abatement work, either the prime contractor must hold a California Contractors State License Board issued ASB certification or utilize a subcontractor with a C-22 license. Additionally, bidders must comply with California Labor Code provisions regarding prevailing wages and must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations to perform public work.
