Background
The Employment Development Department (EDD) of California is seeking bids for bi-weekly and monthly landscaping maintenance and as-needed repair services for their facility located at 297 West Hedding Street, San Jose, CA 95510.
The contract aims to maintain the aesthetic and functional quality of the landscaping at the facility, ensuring a safe and pleasant environment for employees and visitors.
The contract period is set from May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2029.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
- Bi-weekly maintenance including watering, fertilizing, pruning, cultivating, weeding, and ensuring all plants and lawns are healthy.
- Monthly maintenance to trim hedges and plants to a uniform height.
- Seasonal work such as fertilizing lawns in April, June, September with weed and feed fertilizer; treating soil with herbicides as needed; and fertilizing trees in March and September.
- Special maintenance work including providing three cubic yards of medium bark during the first month of service and in March.
- Inspections related to repair work orders and reporting any safety hazards or faulty equipment encountered during work.
- Compliance with health and safety requirements while on EDD property.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from May 1, 2026, through April 30, 2029.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the EDD facility located at 297 West Hedding Street, San Jose, CA 95510.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C-27 State Contractor’s License and either a Maintenance Gardener Pest Control Business License or an Agricultural Pest Control Business License.
Bidders must also submit a completed Bidder Declaration form along with other required documents such as cost proposals and certifications regarding debarment.
