IFPQ - HVAC Replacement Services in Yuba County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking to procure HVAC Replacement Services in Yuba County through this Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) #32A0629. The contract aims to replace an existing HVAC unit to ensure efficient climate control within state facilities, aligning with Caltrans' mission to maintain and improve the state's transportation infrastructure.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, materials, supplies, travel, and incidentals necessary to remove and legally dispose of one existing Heating, Ventilation, and Air-conditioning (HVAC) unit and all associated components.

The contractor will also furnish and install one new 5-ton HVAC package unit with the following specifications:
1. Trane XR16 T5TTR6060J1000A Air Conditioning unit or equivalent compatible with R454B Refrigerant, rated for a minimum cooling capacity of 60,000 BTUs.
2. Trane SX1 series TS8X1C080M5PTAA Gas Furnace or equivalent with a heating capacity of 80,000 BTUs.
3. Trane T5TXCC05DS3HCA coil or equivalent compatible with R454B Refrigerant.

The services will be performed at Caltrans District 32 located at 981 North Beale Road, Marysville, CA 95901.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on June 30, 2025 (estimate) and will expire on June 29, 2026 (estimate). All work must be completed during normal business hours from Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., excluding state holidays.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at Caltrans District 32 Division of Equipment Shop 3 Parts Room located at 981 North Beale Road, Marysville, CA 95901.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be certified as a Small Business (SB) or Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE). They are required to possess a valid C-20 Warm Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) at the time of quote submission and throughout the duration of the agreement. Additionally, bidders must have a current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Subcontracting is not permitted under this agreement.
