IFPQ Certified SB/MB or DVBE Only Plumbing Services in Los Angeles County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Price Quote (IFPQ) # 07A6262 to procure plumbing services in Los Angeles County. The goal of this contract is to provide routine and non-routine plumbing services necessary for the maintenance and operation of state facilities. This solicitation is authorized under Government Code Section 14838.7, which allows for contracts valued between $5,000 and $461,000 to be awarded to certified small businesses (SB), micro businesses (MB), or disabled veteran business enterprises (DVBE).

Work Details
The contractor will furnish all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, fees, permits, travel, and incidentals necessary to provide plumbing services to Caltrans. Specific tasks include:
- Repairing or replacing broken or leaking water or drainpipes;
- Repairing faulty faucets and valves;
- Clearing clogged drain lines;
- Repairing backflow preventers;
- Replacing corroded pipe sections;
- Responding to sewer line blockages;
- Ensuring compliance with local codes.

Services must be performed at the Caltrans District 7 office located at 100 South Main Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012. The contractor must respond to routine service requests within 72 hours and non-routine requests within two hours.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on April 1, 2026, and will expire on March 31, 2029. Routine services will be provided during normal business hours from Monday through Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding state holidays.

All services will be performed at the Caltrans District 7 office located at 100 South Main Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C-36 Plumbing Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB) at the time of quote submission and throughout the duration of the agreement. Additionally, bidders must have a valid confined space permit and registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Subcontracting is not permitted under this agreement.
