The purpose of this Agreement is to set forth the terms and conditions under which Contractor is to provide trash services. Contractor agrees to provide to the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) all labor, trash bins, equipment, travel, and incidentals, and to pay all associated costs, fees (including disposal fees), and taxes, necessary to provide on call, asneeded trash collection, hauling, and disposal services as described herein.
Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking bids for trash services in Riverside County. The purpose of this Agreement is to establish the terms and conditions under which the Contractor will provide trash collection, hauling, and disposal services. This initiative aligns with Caltrans' mission to maintain clean and safe transportation facilities.

Work Details
The Contractor agrees to provide all labor, trash bins, equipment, travel, and incidentals necessary for on-call, as-needed trash collection and disposal services. Specific requirements include:

1. Provision of two (2) four (4) cubic yard trash bins for general trash at Paradise Valley Maintenance Station.
2. Provision of one (1) ten (10) cubic yard low boy trash bin for general trash at the same location.
3. All containers must have retractable covers and be in good condition without holes.
4. Trash pick-ups will occur on weekdays between 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., excluding State legal holidays. If a holiday falls on a scheduled pick-up date, the service will occur the following business day.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on July 1, 2025, or upon approval by the Department of General Services (DGS), whichever is later, and will expire on June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Paradise Valley Maintenance Station located at 6690 La Contenta Road, Yucca Valley, CA 92284.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Motor Carrier Permit issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles at the time of bid submission and throughout the duration of the Agreement. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to participate in Small Business (SB) or Micro Business (MB) programs as well as Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) programs; however, DVBE participation is not mandatory.
