IFB ST249012 North STAR Pharmacy Services

Background
The Department of Developmental Services (DDS) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) ST249012 for North STAR Pharmacy Services. The DDS aims to provide essential pharmacy services, medications, and pharmaceutical supplies for clients residing in the North STAR Community Crisis homes, which cater to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and mental health conditions.

The goal is to support these clients until they achieve stabilization and can transition to alternative living environments.

Work Details
The contractor will provide as-needed pharmacy services, medications, and various pharmaceutical supplies for clients at the following locations:
- North STAR 1 (5939 Pleasants Valley Rd., Vacaville, CA 95688)
- North STAR 2 (7110 Steiger Hill Rd., Vacaville, CA 95688)
- North STAR 3 (3328 Shale Peak Ln., Vacaville, CA 95688)

Specific responsibilities include:
- Providing medications as per specified packaging requirements including drug information sheets.
- Filling and delivering medications compliant with state and federal regulations.
- Delivering monthly cycle prescriptions at least 48 hours prior to the stated start date.
- Delivering medications within one business day of receiving new prescriptions.
- Delivering bulk supplies within five business days of the order date.
- Assisting with obtaining medications via local designated retail pharmacies if unable to provide due to time constraints.
- Packaging medications in Multi-compartment Compliance Aid (MCA) calendar punch cards where applicable.
- Transporting medications ensuring appropriate storage as recommended by manufacturers.
- Advising on recalled items and accepting returns of such items.
- Providing computer-generated reports including physician’s orders, medication administration records (MAR), accountability sheets, and other management reports as requested by the North STAR Program Director or designee.

Period of Performance
The contract term is from December 16, 2024, through December 15, 2027.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at three locations in Vacaville, California:
- North STAR 1 at 5939 Pleasants Valley Rd.
- North STAR 2 at 7110 Steiger Hill Rd.
- North STAR 3 at 3328 Shale Peak Ln.
