IFB# S03412555 - Blade Sharpening Services

Background
The California Correctional Training and Rehabilitation Authority (CALCTRA) is seeking bids for Blade Sharpening Services for the Printing Enterprise located at the California Men’s Colony (CMC) in San Luis Obispo, California. The goal of this contract is to provide essential blade sharpening services to support CALCTRA's operations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide paper cutter blade sharpening services, which includes all labor, materials, non-consumable supplies, transportation, and equipment necessary for the service.

The sharpening services must be performed at the contractor's facility. The cost for shipping blades from the contractor is included in the sharpening fee. Services must commence by an agreed-upon date after contract execution and issuance of a tracking number. If the contractor fails to start on time, CALCTRA reserves the right to terminate the agreement and seek compensation for any additional costs incurred.

Period of Performance
The anticipated contract term is two years with an option to extend for an additional year.

Place of Performance
California Men’s Colony (CMC), Highway 1, San Luis Obispo, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have at least two years of experience providing similar services and submit documentation of past performance on three similar projects within the last three years.

Bidders are required to provide copies of all necessary licenses and permits as determined by their business location. Additionally, bidders must complete an Economic Sanctions Certification form as required by Executive Order N-6-22 and disclose any use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) technology as per Executive Order N-12-23.
