IFB Routine Calibration and Specialized Repair Services for Caltrans Testing Equipment, Statewide

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #59A1307 for Routine Calibration and Specialized Repair Services for Caltrans Testing Equipment, Statewide.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that all testing equipment used by Caltrans is properly calibrated and maintained to meet safety and operational standards, in compliance with the reference standards of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, materials, supplies, parts, tools, equipment, travel costs, and incidentals necessary for on-call routine preventive maintenance services, specialized repair services, and calibration verification services.

6. Calibration services for 36 HMA, AB, Soil Presses
7. Calibration services for 30 Hamburg Wheel Trackers
8. Calibration services for 36 Stabilometers
9. Calibration services for 94 Ignition Ovens
10. Calibration services for 32 Digital Manometers
11. Calibration services for 14 Vacuum Gauges
12. Calibration services for 2 Soil Ring Shear Test Systems
13. Calibration services for 50 Auto Rice Controllers
14. Calibration services for 4 Asphalt Mixture Performance Testers
15. Calibration services for 6 Analytical Balances
16. Calibration services for 36 General Purpose Balances
17. Calibration services for 48 Mass Weights (Sets)
18. Calibration services for 6 Gauge Blocks (Sets)
19. Calibration services for 30 Calipers and Micrometers

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon execution of the agreement and will continue until all required calibration and maintenance tasks are completed as specified in the IFB.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed statewide across various locations as determined by Caltrans.
