IFB Roof Replacement Services in Orange County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #12A2258 for roof replacement services in Orange County. The agency's mission is to provide a safe and efficient transportation system in California. The goal of this contract is to replace the existing roofing system and ensure the proper installation of photovoltaic solar panels, thereby enhancing the infrastructure managed by Caltrans.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all equipment, labor, tools, travel, permits, materials, parts, supplies, incidentals, and disposal fees necessary for the following tasks:

1) Remove all existing roofing material and photovoltaic (PV) solar panels;
2) Properly prepare the existing roof surface for re-roofing;
3) Remove all loose coating/walk pads;
4) Thoroughly clean the roof;
5) Furnish and install a new 60-millimeter thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roofing system which includes roof insulation, roof insulation cover board, and walkway material;
6) Reinstall the existing photovoltaic (PV) solar panels.

Period of Performance
The contract performance period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the bid documents. The estimated award date is April 15, 2025.

The work will be performed at designated locations within Orange County, California.
