IFB - Restroom Remodel, Sacramento, CA Sacramento County.

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #32A0638 for the purpose of remodeling the restroom in the Caltrans Equipment Shop located at 3400 R Street, Sacramento, CA 95816. The goal of this contract is to ensure that all necessary labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, travel, and incidentals are provided to successfully complete the restroom remodel.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, travel, and incidentals necessary to remodel the restroom in accordance with the specifications outlined in the Proposed Form of Agreement. This includes:

1. Demolition of existing restroom facilities as per STD 213.
2. Remodeling of existing restroom facilities as per STD 213.
3. An hourly labor rate for unforeseen work (up to 16 hours).
4. Maximum allowable expenditure for unforeseen parts and materials will be reimbursed based on original receipts.

Period of Performance
The contract period will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a timeframe specified by Caltrans following the bid submission deadline of June 3, 2025.

Place of Performance
All work will be performed at the Caltrans Equipment Shop located at 3400 R Street, Sacramento, CA 95816.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must have a current and valid B (General Building Contractor) license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) and must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Additionally, bidders must meet a minimum participation requirement of three percent (3%) for Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) and are encouraged to subcontract at least twenty-five percent (25%) of their net bid price to certified Small Businesses or Micro Businesses.
