IFB Rented Portable Restroom, San Bernardino & Riverside Counties

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking bids for the rental, delivery, setup, maintenance, pumping, and disposal services of 450 handicap accessible rented portable restrooms with sinks. This initiative aims to ensure adequate restroom facilities are available in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties, enhancing public convenience and accessibility.

Work Details
Contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools, equipment, vehicles, travel, and incidentals necessary for portable restroom services. The specific tasks include:

1. Rental of 450 handicap accessible portable restrooms with sinks.

2. Delivery and setup at designated locations including:
- Desert Oasis SRRA (100 units)
- Valley Wells SRRA (100 units)
- John Wilkie (Fenner) SRRA (100 units)
- CV Kane SRRA (100 units)
- Wiley’s Well SRRA (50 units)

3. Maintenance services including pumping and cleaning every other day between 9:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., with additional on-call services as needed.

4. Provision of supplies such as toilet tissue, soap, paper towels, deodorant blocks, seat covers, and chemical flushing agents.

5. Regular updates to service logs indicating servicing dates and times.

6. Compliance with all disposal regulations for human waste.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on July 1, 2025, or upon approval by the Department of General Services (DGS), whichever is later. The contract will expire on June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various locations in San Bernardino and Riverside Counties including Desert Oasis SRRA, Valley Wells SRRA, John Wilkie (Fenner) SRRA, CV Kane SRRA, and Wiley’s Well SRRA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Motor Carrier Permit issued by the California Department of Motor Vehicles. Additionally, bidders are encouraged to participate in small business programs; certified Small Businesses (SB) or Micro Businesses (MB) may receive a preference in bidding. A Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) incentive applies but participation is not mandatory.
