Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #11A3976 for Positive Location of Underground Utilities (Potholing) Services in San Diego and Imperial Counties. The agency's mission is to ensure safe and efficient transportation systems. Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, tools, parts, materials, supplies, traffic control, standard traffic control signage, travel, and incidentals necessary to deliver on-call and as-needed positive location (potholing) services within the designated service area of San Diego and Imperial Counties. 1. Compliance with prevailing wage laws if the total bid exceeds $15,000.
2. The prime bidder must hold a valid Class A (General Engineering) or C-12 (Earthwork and Paving) license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB).
3. The contractor must be located within 150 driving miles of 4050 Taylor Street, San Diego CA 92110.
4. Registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) is mandatory for both the prime bidder and subcontractors.
