Background
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife is seeking a Contractor to provide Generator Rental Services for the marking of hatchery produced steelhead. The marking of hatchery produced steelhead is a critical component to fisheries management in California and on the West Coast, providing crucial data for determining fishing allocations for commercial, recreational, and tribal fisheries.
Work Details
The Contractor will provide generator rental services including a 50KW – 60KW generator capable of providing power for one fish marking trailer and one external Matsuska Fish Pump, which will be in operation simultaneously for up to 12 hours per day, Monday-Friday, for the two-month contract rental periods of July 1 – August 31 in 2024, 2025, and 2026.
The Contractor will also be responsible for connecting and disconnecting the generator to the fish marking trailer and external Matsuska Fish Pump in a manner that ensures safe and efficient operation. Additionally, the Contractor will be required to deliver and pick up the generator to and from WSH on authorized dates provided by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) Contract Manager.
Period of Performance
The contract will be performed over two-month periods from July 1 – August 31 in 2024, 2025, and 2026.

The services will be performed at Warm Springs Fish Hatchery (WSH) located at 3246 Skaggs Springs Road, Geyserville, CA 95441.
