(IFB) Number 26C875001 entitled, CHP Mountain Pass Joint Port of Entry (JPOE) Janitorial Services

Background
The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is seeking bids for janitorial services at the Mountain Pass Joint Port of Entry (JPOE). The CHP's mission includes ensuring safety and security on California's highways. This contract aims to maintain cleanliness and hygiene at the JPOE facility. Work Details
The contractor will provide comprehensive janitorial services as detailed in Exhibit A, 'Scope of Work.' This includes tasks such as:
- Cleaning restrooms, offices, and common areas
- Maintaining floors
- Disposing of waste
- Ensuring overall cleanliness of the facility.
The contractor must comply with all relevant regulations, including those set forth by the California Labor Code regarding property services workers.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on September 1, 2026, and will run through August 31, 2027. There is an option for one additional year based on satisfactory performance and funding availability.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the CHP Mountain Pass Joint Port of Entry located at 100779 Bear Road, Nipton, CA 92364.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid local business license and be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as required by California Labor Code Sections 1420-1434. Additionally, bidders must demonstrate a history of sound business integrity and responsiveness to contractual obligations. A minimum participation requirement of 5% from Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) is mandated. Proof of liability insurance meeting specified requirements must be provided before contract execution.
