IFB No. 127692 Building 4008 Lead and Asbestos Abatement, Camp Roberts

Background
The California Military Department is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB No. 127692) for the abatement of lead and asbestos-containing materials in Building 4008 at Camp Roberts.
The goal of this contract is to ensure the safe removal of hazardous materials as identified in the McKenna Report, thereby supporting the agency's mission to maintain safe and healthy environments for military personnel and facilities.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees required for the abatement of asbestos-containing materials and lead-based paint in Building 4008.
Specific tasks include:
1. Complete removal of all lead-painted materials as per sections 2.1.1.5 and 2.1.1.6 of the Scope of Work (SOW).
2. Handling and disposal of twenty-four (24) wood windows, including associated jambs and moldings, which were not present during the initial bid walk but are documented in the McKenna Environmental Report.

Period of Performance
The work is expected to commence after the bid opening on April 27, 2026, with specific timelines to be determined based on project requirements.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Camp Roberts located at Highway 101, San Miguel, CA 93451.

Bidder Requirements
Prospective bidders must possess a type C-22 Asbestos Abatement Contractor license.
Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid job walk on April 16, 2026, is required for eligibility to submit a bid.
