IFB No 127352 Building 59 Demolition

Background
The California Military Department, under the leadership of Governor Gavin Newsom, is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 127352 for the demolition of Building 59 located at the Joint Forces Training Base in Los Alamitos, CA. The purpose of this contract is to ensure the safe removal of the building and associated site utilities, including the handling of Lead and Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM).

Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all materials, labor, bonds, licenses, insurance, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary to lead and manage the demolition of Building 59. This includes:
- Complete demolition of Building 59
- Safe disposal of all debris and ACM
- Management of all associated site utilities
- Compliance with all relevant regulations and standards as outlined in this IFB.

Period of Performance
The contract work must be completed within 300 calendar days from the notice to proceed.

Joint Forces Training Base, 11200 Lexington Drive, Los Alamitos, CA 90720.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific qualifications including:
- Possession of a C-21 - Building Moving/Demolition Contractor or B - General Building Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB).
- Subcontracting a C-22 - Asbestos Abatement Contractor license.
- Compliance with DVBE participation goals (5%) and Small Business participation goals (25%).
- Registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) is mandatory.
- Submission of a bid bond if bid exceeds $24,999.99.
- Completion of required attachments including Bid/Bidder Certification Sheet and other specified forms.
