IFB No. 124894 "As-Needed" Electrical Services

Background
The Employment Development Department (EDD) of California is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 124894 for 'As Needed' Electrical Services at their facility located at 297 W Hedding Street, San Jose, CA 95110.

The goal of this contract is to ensure that electrical services are available as needed when EDD Maintenance Mechanics are unavailable. The contract aims to maintain operational efficiency and safety within the facility.

Work Details
The Contractor will provide various electrical services including: inspections pertaining to repair work orders, consultation/planning on methods to achieve intended results, completion of maintenance/repair work orders as provided by the EDD Representative, minor emergency repairs, and repairs typically not exceeding two workdays per task.

The Contractor must identify and report any safety hazards or faulty equipment encountered during work. Specific tasks may include installing or replacing electronic ballasts, relocating circuits and outlets, repairing electrical subpanels, and servicing lighting fixtures. All work must comply with applicable building codes and regulations. The Contractor must have a valid C-10 State Contractor’s License.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on August 15, 2026, and will continue through June 30, 2029.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the EDD facility located at 297 W Hedding Street, San Jose, CA 95110.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C-10 State Contractor’s License. The Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) Participation Requirement is waived for this IFB.

Bidders must complete the Bidder Declaration GSPD-05-105 and include it with their bid response. Additionally, bidders are required to provide proof of insurance coverage including general liability insurance of at least $1 million per occurrence.
