IFB No. 117934 for "As Needed" Electrical Services

Background
The Employment Development Department (EDD) of California is issuing Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 117934 for 'As Needed' Electrical Services at their facilities located at 1550 W. Main Street, El Centro, CA 92243 and 355 E. 3rd Street, Calexico, CA 92021.

The goal of this contract is to provide electrical services as required by the EDD to ensure the proper functioning and safety of their facilities.

Work Details
The contractor will provide various electrical services including: inspections pertaining to electrical services, electrical consultation/planning, completion of electrical work orders, emergency electrical repairs, and identification/reporting of safety hazards or faulty equipment.

Specific tasks may include: installing or replacing electronic ballasts, relocating circuits and outlets, repairing or installing electrical subpanels and switches, servicing lighting fixtures and timers, and ensuring compliance with all applicable codes.

The contractor must have a valid C-10 State Contractor’s License and an adequate number of journeyman level employees to perform work at multiple locations simultaneously.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2027.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the EDD facilities located at 1550 W. Main Street, El Centro, CA 92243 and 355 E. 3rd Street, Calexico, CA 92021.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C-10 State Contractor’s License. They are required to submit a completed Bidder Declaration form along with other specified documents such as a Payee Data Record (STD. 204), certification regarding debarment, and proof of insurance coverage as outlined in the solicitation documents.
