IFB No. 116695 - Notification of Intent to Award

Background
The Employment Development Department (EDD) of California is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 116695 for Monthly Preventative HVAC Maintenance and 'As-Needed' Repair Services at their facility located at 1205 W. 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340.

The EDD's mission is to provide a variety of services to support California's workforce and economy. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper maintenance and repair of HVAC systems to maintain a safe and comfortable environment within the facility.

Work Details
The contractor will provide monthly preventative HVAC maintenance and 'as-needed' repair services, including but not limited to: inspections pertaining to HVAC services, consultation on best methods for repairs, completion of HVAC work orders, minor emergency repairs, replacement of faulty parts, and identification/reporting of safety hazards.

Specific units to be maintained include Trane HVAC Units (Model No: YCD300133LODC and YCD121BCLDDC), a Mitsubishi Split Unit (Model Number MSY-D36NA), Trane ComforTrac Building Management System, and associated control systems. The contractor must comply with all applicable building codes and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be performed from October 1, 2025 through September 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the EDD facility located at 1205 W. 18th Street, Merced, CA 95340.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C-20 State Contractor’s License. They are required to submit various documents including a Cost Proposal, Bidder Declaration, Certification regarding Debarment, and others as specified in the bid package. Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise Participation requirements are waived for this IFB.
