IFB No. 115768 Locksmith Services

Background
The Employment Development Department (EDD) of California is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 115768 for 'As Needed' Locksmith Services at their facility located at 1440 Marin Street, Vallejo, CA 94590.

The goal of this contract is to provide locksmith services to ensure the security and functionality of the EDD facility. The contract is intended to support the EDD's mission by maintaining safe and secure access to its premises.

Work Details
The Contractor will provide as-needed locksmith services including but not limited to: inspections pertaining to locksmith services, consultation on methods to achieve intended results, completion of locksmith work orders as provided by the EDD Representative, minor emergency repairs, and repairs normally not exceeding two workdays per task.

Specific tasks include key duplications, making or cutting cylinder bit locks, opening locks or changing combinations, repairing or replacing padlocks and door locks/knobs, changing keypad codes, making adjustments to controlled access systems, rekeying door locks, handling lockouts, and repairing keyless locks and electronic door releases. All work must comply with applicable building codes and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract period will be from July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2028.

Place of Performance
All services will be performed at the EDD facility located at 1440 Marin Street, Vallejo, CA 94590.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C-28 State Contractor’s License. Additionally, bidders are required to submit various documents including a Cost Proposal, Bidder Declaration, and Contractor Certification Clauses. The EDD reserves the right to reject any bids that do not meet these requirements or are submitted late.
