IFB No. 115035 "As Needed" HVAC Maintenance and "As Needed" Repair Services

Background
The Employment Development Department (EDD) of California is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 115035 for 'As Needed' HVAC Maintenance and Repair Services at their facility located at 409 K Street, Eureka, CA 95501. The goal of this contract is to ensure the proper functioning and maintenance of HVAC systems within the facility, thereby supporting the EDD's mission to provide quality services to the public.

Work Details
The contractor will provide monthly preventative HVAC maintenance and 'as needed' repair services during periods when EDD Maintenance Mechanics are unavailable. Specific tasks include:
- Inspections pertaining to HVAC services
- Consultation on best methods for repairs
- Completion of HVAC work orders
- Minor emergency repairs
- Replacement of faulty parts
- Identification/reporting of safety hazards.

The contractor must maintain various HVAC units including two rooftop units (Carrier models), a boiler, multi-zone handlers, domestic water heaters, exhaust fans, thermostats, and control systems. All work must comply with applicable codes and regulations.

Period of Performance
The contract will be effective from September 1, 2025 through August 31, 2028.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the EDD facility located at 409 K Street, Eureka, CA 95501.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C-20 State Contractor’s License. They are required to submit various documents including a Cost Proposal, Bidder Declaration, and certifications regarding debarment and civil rights laws. Additionally, bidders must not be on any tax delinquency lists as specified by California law.
