Background
The Employment Development Department (EDD) of California is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 105871 for 'Part-Time' Janitorial Services at their facility located at 128-130 E. Ortega Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101.
The goal of this contract is to ensure a clean and safe environment for the EDD staff and visitors by providing comprehensive janitorial services over a specified period.
Work Details
The Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, equipment, and materials necessary to perform janitorial services at the EDD facility. Specific tasks include:
- Inspections pertaining to janitorial work
- Consultation on methods to achieve intended results
- Completion of regular and incidental janitorial tasks as directed by the EDD Representative
- Reporting safety-related problems
- Compliance with all state and local laws affecting the work
- Maintaining cleanliness in offices, restrooms, and common areas.
Performance standards include trash removal, sweeping or vacuum cleaning, dusting, damp wiping surfaces, cleaning drinking fountains, polishing surfaces, restroom cleaning and servicing including replenishment of supplies and disinfecting fixtures. The Contractor's staff must have a minimum of six months of experience in janitorial services and be trained in safety practices.
Period of Performance
The contract will commence on January 1, 2025, and will continue through December 31, 2026.
