Background
The Department of General Services (DGS), Facilities Management Division (FMD) of the State of California is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Fire Life Safety System services. The purpose of this contract is to procure maintenance and monitoring services for fire life safety systems at state properties, specifically at the Ronald Reagan Building in Los Angeles, CA. This initiative aligns with DGS's mission to manage, maintain, and operate state buildings and grounds effectively.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary for Fire Life Safety System maintenance and monitoring services. Key services include:

- 24/7 Fire Life Safety Alarm Monitoring
- Annual Fire Alarm Preventive Maintenance
- Smoke Control Systems Testing
- Fire Sprinkler System Inspection and Maintenance
- Technical Support Services

The contractor must ensure compliance with NFPA standards and California Code regulations. Specific equipment to be serviced includes fire alarm panels, smoke detectors, heat detectors, pull stations, sprinkler systems, and various other components as detailed in the Equipment List (Exhibit A).

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of the contract is three (3) years.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the Ronald Reagan Building (#509), located at 300 South Spring Street Suite 1726, Los Angeles, CA 90015.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Class C-16 Fire Protection Contractor license issued by the California Department of Consumer Affairs. They must also provide proof of insurance covering General Liability, Commercial Automobile Insurance, and Worker’s Compensation. Additionally, bidders are required to document a minimum participation goal of 3% for Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise (DVBE). All bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) if required by law.
