IFB: Exterior Painting Sheriff's Office and Animal Services

Background
The Plumas County Department of Facility Services and Airports is responsible for maintaining several County-owned buildings and properties throughout Plumas County. This includes routine maintenance, HVAC repair, plumbing, electrical work, yard maintenance, and capital improvement projects.

The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to seek a contractor with a Class C-33 Painting and Decorating License issued by the state of California to prepare and paint the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office and Animal Services.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor and materials necessary for preparation work including pressure washing, scraping, sanding, filling as necessary, removing old caulking, and re-caulking. The contractor must protect surfaces not being painted and provide all labor and materials to apply one prime coat and one coat of Sherwin Williams Duration paint matching existing colors as closely as possible.

All work must be performed in a workmanlike manner according to industry standards and manufacturers' recommendations. The contractor is also required to notify Plumas County Facilities of any needed repairs outside the scope of painting.

Period of Performance
The contract term begins upon approval by the Board of Supervisors and ends on June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Plumas County Sheriff’s Office located at 1400 East Main St Quincy, CA 95971 and at Plumas County Animal Services located at 201 Mill Creek Rd Quincy, CA 95971.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a current Class C-33 Painting and Decorating License issued by the state of California. Contractors must also provide proof of general commercial liability insurance with minimum coverage limits of $1,000,000.

Additionally, contractors must comply with prevailing wage laws as per California Labor Code Sections 1770 through 1780.
