IFB Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) Installation Services in Los Angeles County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans), under the leadership of Governor Gavin Newsom, is seeking bids for Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) installation services in Los Angeles County. This initiative aims to enhance security and monitoring capabilities at designated locations, ensuring high-quality surveillance for public safety. The contract is part of Caltrans' commitment to improving infrastructure through advanced technology.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all labor, tools, materials, vehicles, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of a CCTV Camera Security System for 24/7 surveillance. This includes assessing locations for optimal camera angles, determining cable routes, and placing Network Video Recorders (NVR) or Digital Video Recorders (DVR). The installation must ensure high-quality monitoring for security and identification. Specific components include:
- Cameras with a minimum resolution requirement
- NVR/DVR units
- Cables
- Mounts
- Power supplies as detailed in the Proposed Form of Agreement.

Period of Performance
The contract is expected to commence on May 1, 2026, or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later. The agreement will expire on April 30, 2027.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Caltrans Tarzana Maintenance Station located at 5660 Reseda Blvd, Tarzana CA, 91356 in Los Angeles County.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid Class B - General Building Contractor's license, C-7 Low Voltage Systems Contractor license, and C-10 Electrical Contractor license issued by the Contractors State License Board (CSLB). Additionally, bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and comply with small business participation goals including a minimum of 25% subcontracting to certified Small Businesses or Micro Businesses. A DVBE participation requirement of 3% also applies.
