Background
The State of California Health and Human Services Agency, California Department of Rehabilitation, is seeking bids for Refrigeration Service & Repair in Fresno, Merced, San Luis Obispo, Kings, Monterey, Madera, Kern, and Tulare County. The Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Business Enterprises Program (BEP) provides training, licensure, and self-employment opportunities for persons who are legally blind in the management of food service and vending facilities on public and private properties throughout the State pursuant to the Randolph-Sheppard Act and California Welfare and Institutions Code Section 19625 et seq.

Work Details
The contractor is required to provide refrigeration service and repair as detailed in the proposed Contract Exhibit A.1. The contractor must possess a C38 License (Refrigeration Contractor) issued through the State of California’s Contractors State Licensing Board. Technicians providing services under this Agreement are required to hold 'Type 1' and 'Type 2' certificates or a 'Universal' certificate as per the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) regulations.
The contractor must comply with Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling requirements stipulated under 40 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) 82, Subpart F.
The contractor must also possess a business license from the city/county in which they are headquartered.
Additionally, the contractor must provide proof of current insurance certificates for Commercial General Liability, Automobile Liability (if applicable), and Workers' Compensation with liability limits as specified.

Period of Performance
The anticipated budget is approximately $45,000.00 for a contract term from July 1, 2024, or Upon Approval through June 30, 2027. This Agreement is subject to the State's option to renew for an additional one-year period under the same terms and conditions.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed in Fresno, Merced, San Luis Obispo, Kings, Monterey, Madera, Kern, and Tulare County.
