IFB: 7CA07938 - Structural Turnout Jacket Alterations

Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #7CA07938 for Structural Turnout Jacket Alterations. The purpose of this contract is to ensure the health and safety of first responders by providing necessary repairs and maintenance for Structural Firefighter Protection Ensemble (SFPE) Jackets as part of the CAL FIRE Safety Program.

This initiative aligns with CAL FIRE's mission to protect California's natural resources and enhance public safety.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary to clean, inspect, and repair SFPE Jackets. Specific services include:
- Right Chest Flashlight Holder Alteration
- Mic Tab Relocation Alteration
- Rear Reflective Trim Alteration
- NFPA Advanced Cleaning (Jacket Only)

The contractor must coordinate with all CAL FIRE Units for the execution of these services.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon execution and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as outlined in the final agreement.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at various CAL FIRE Units across California including locations in Mendocino, San Luis Obispo, Lassen-Modoc, San Benito-Monterey, Nevada-Yuba-Placer, Riverside, Amador-El Dorado, San Bernardino-Inyo-Mono, Butte, Tuolumne-Calaveras, Tulare, Santa Clara, and Sonoma-Lake-Napa.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed to operate in California and provide proof of such. They must also be a National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) verified Independent Service Provider for Advanced Cleaning and Sanitization. Participation from Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) is encouraged but not mandatory.

Bidders must comply with various certifications including the Darfur Contracting Act Certification and California Civil Rights Laws Attachment.
