IFB: 2CA07497 - Stirling City Apparatus Door Replacement and Installation

Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for the replacement and installation of an apparatus door at Station 13 in Stirling City.

The goal of this contract is to ensure the facility has a functional and secure door that meets operational needs. This project aligns with CAL FIRE's mission to protect California's natural resources and enhance public safety.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees necessary to remove and dispose of an existing 12'x12' steel rolling door with a hoist motor and install a new one.

The work includes ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and standards.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within the timeline specified in the bid submission schedule, which includes key dates for pre-bid walkthroughs and final bid submissions.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Station 13 located at 7882 Quartz Street, Stirling City, CA 95978.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C61/D28-Doors, Gates, and Activating Devices Contractor license issued by the California State Licensing Board (CSLB).

Additionally, bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) if their bid exceeds $15,000. Participation from Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBE) is encouraged but not mandated. Bidders must also comply with prevailing wage laws if the total bid amount exceeds $1,000.
