Background
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) for Mold and Asbestos Removal and Repair Services. The purpose of this contract is to ensure the safe removal of mold and asbestos, which poses health risks, from facilities managed by CAL FIRE.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees required for the removal of mold and asbestos. This includes ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding hazardous materials.

The contractor must possess a B-Building Contractor license and a C-22 Asbestos Abatement Contractor license issued by the California State Licensing Board (CSLB). Additionally, the contractor must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR).

Period of Performance
The contract will commence upon award and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe as detailed in the bid submission schedule. Key dates include a mandatory pre-bid walkthrough on May 2, 2025, with bids due by May 12, 2025.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at CAL FIRE facilities located in Mendocino County, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must meet specific qualifications including:
- being licensed to operate in California;
- holding a valid B-Building Contractor license and C-22 Asbestos Abatement Contractor license;
- being registered with DIR;
- providing proof of business standing if based outside California.
