IFB #10204527 - Design, Fabrication & Testing Services for Two (2) Axial-Flow Vertical Pumps

Background
The State of California, through the California Natural Resources Agency and the Department of Water Resources, is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) number 10204527.
The purpose of this contract is to secure design, fabrication, testing, and delivery services for two axial-flow vertical pumps. These pumps are essential for the operation of the State Water Project (SWP), which plays a critical role in water management and distribution in California.

Work Details
The contractor will provide the following services:
1. Design, fabrication, testing, and delivery of two (2) axial-flow vertical pumps capable of meeting the specifications outlined in Exhibit A, Attachment 1 and 2.
2. The pumps must connect to existing structures including sole plates, piping, and appurtenances associated with the SWP.
3. The contractor must have a minimum of five years' experience in manufacturing pumps and provide references for three projects involving large-scale water pumps over 10 feet in length.
4. A robust quality assurance program must be submitted that includes quality control measures, inspections, and testing protocols.
5. Nondestructive testing technicians must be certified in NDT Level II as per ASNT standards at the time of bid submission and throughout the contract term.
6. Capability to conduct performance tests according to ASME PTC 8.2 Standards and provide vibrational measurements compliant with ISO 20816-3:2022 requirements.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of this agreement is two years, starting from January 1, 2024.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at the contractor's or identified subcontractor's shop facilities.
