HVAC Replacement Wilkins Cottage Building 156, 24-42022-000

Background
The Department of State Hospitals (DSH) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) Number 24-42022-000 for the HVAC Replacement at Wilkins Cottage, Building 156, located at DSH - Napa.
The goal of this contract is to replace the existing HVAC system in accordance with the approved design and specifications provided by JC Chang and Associates.
This project is classified as a public works project under Labor Code 1720.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all necessary materials, supplies, tools, equipment, transportation, licenses, permits, prevailing wages, insurance, bonds, and personnel to complete the HVAC replacement at Wilkins Cottage, Building 156.
The work includes but is not limited to:
- Demolition of existing systems;
- Installation of a new variable refrigerant flow (VRF) heat recovery system;
- Installation of outdoor condensing units and indoor fan coil units;
- Ductwork for air distribution;
- Installation of new ceiling supply and return diffusers;
- Mechanical ventilation systems;
- Electrical work including disconnect switches and panelboards;
- Fire alarm system integration;
- Compliance with Title-24 code.
All work must adhere to the attached drawings and specifications (OSFM Permit Number 24-4715).

Period of Performance
The anticipated period of performance for this contract is from June 15, 2025, through June 30, 2026.

Place of Performance
The contract will be performed at Wilkins Cottage, Building 156 located at DSH - Napa.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
They must have a minimum of three years' experience in HVAC installation work and provide proof of their legal right to do business in California.
Additionally, bidders must hold a valid Contractors State License (B-General Contractor or C-20 Warm-Air Heating Contractor) and comply with all insurance and bonding requirements as outlined in the solicitation.
