Hemet Slurry Seal and Parking Lot Modification

Background
The Riverside Transit Agency (RTA) is a Joint Powers Agency responsible for coordinating transit services in western Riverside County. The agency operates from two facilities and is governed by a board of directors from various cities in the region. The purpose of this contract is to complete a slurry seal and striping project at RTA's Hemet facility, which includes modifications to existing parking spaces and the conversion of a bus parking lot into employee parking spaces.

Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks:

1) Complete a slurry seal and striping project for approximately 86 existing parking spaces at the Hemet facility.

2) Convert a 34,000 square foot concrete bus parking lot into approximately 50 new employee parking spaces. Specific tasks include conducting site inspections, crack sealing, asphalt repairs, wheel stop management, striping layout for ADA compliance, milling and paving damaged areas, installing fencing and lighting, and ensuring all work meets local codes and standards. The contractor must also provide all necessary labor, materials, equipment, permits, and supervision.

Period of Performance
The contract period shall not exceed 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Place of Performance
The primary place of performance will be at RTA’s Hemet facility located at 700 Scaramella Circle, Hemet, CA 92545.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a state of California Class A or B and/or C-32 Parking and Highway Improvement contractor’s license. This is a prevailing wage project; therefore, contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the State of California Department of Industrial Relations at the time of bid submittal.
