Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Services in Yuba County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #03A3924 for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) services in Yuba County. The goal of this contract is to replace existing HVAC units at the Caltrans District 3 Materials Testing Facility, ensuring compliance with state regulations and improving operational efficiency.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, vehicles, tools, materials, parts, permits, supplies, travel, and incidentals necessary to:

1. Decommission, remove, and legally dispose of three (3) existing rooftop HVAC units and related components.
2. Furnish, install, and commission three (3) new six (6)-ton rooftop HVAC units and related components including necessary ducting. All work must comply with the specifications outlined in the Proposed Form of Agreement, Exhibit A.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on June 1, 2025 (estimate), or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later. The work must be completed by November 30, 2025 (estimate). Services shall be performed during normal business hours from Monday to Friday between 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding State holidays.

Place of Performance
The services will be performed at the Caltrans District 3 Materials Testing Facility located at 5330 Arboga Road, Olivehurst, CA 95961 in Yuba County.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C-20 Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) at the time of bid submission and for the duration of the Agreement. Bidders must also have a current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Additionally, bidders are encouraged to participate in small business programs; however, DVBE participation is not required.
