Background
The City of Long Beach, California, through its Board of Harbor Commissioners, is issuing this contract for the Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility LA-04 Pump Station Relocation.
The project aims to enhance infrastructure and operational efficiency at the Port of Long Beach.

Work Details
The work required by this contract includes:
- Surface and subsurface demolition
- Deep excavation and ground improvements
- Working in high groundwater
- Construction of a pump station building including structural, architectural, mechanical, and electrical components
- Demolition of the existing pump station
- Open excavation, conventional bore, and microtunneling for storm drain construction
- Large diameter domestic water construction
- Erosion control measures
- Installation of fencing
- Grading activities
- Paving.

Period of Performance
The contractor is required to achieve substantial completion within 825 calendar days and final completion within 915 calendar days from the date specified in a written 'Notice to Proceed' issued by the City.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at the Pier B On-Dock Rail Support Facility located in Long Beach, California.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must hold a current and valid Class 'A' California Contractor's License. The contractor must perform at least 30% of the contract work with its own employees. This project is subject to the Port of Long Beach Small Business Enterprises (SBE)/Very Small Business Enterprises (VSBE) Program with a participation goal of 18% of total bid value. Additionally, all contractors must comply with prevailing wage requirements as defined by the Department of Industrial Relations.
