Goat Grazing Services

Background
The California Natural Resources Agency, under the Department of Water Resources, is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) number 10201910 for Goat Grazing Services.

The purpose of this contract is to utilize Boer goats or equivalent to graze on approximately 566 acres of the State Water Project in Byron, California. This initiative aims to disrupt the continuity of vegetation for area inspections and fuel reduction while adhering to environmental laws and regulations.

Work Details
The contractor will provide Boer goats or equivalent for grazing on approximately 566 acres.

The goal is to manage vegetation effectively for inspections and fuel reduction. Proposed grazing areas are outlined in Exhibit A, Attachment 1 - Maps. The contractor must possess all necessary licenses, certifications, and permits required by the State of California throughout the contract term.

Period of Performance
The anticipated term of this agreement is three (3) years, with an expected start date of February 1, 2025.

Place of Performance
The work will be performed at various locations within the Delta Field Division in Byron, California.
