Generator Services in Los Angeles County

Background
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is issuing this Invitation for Bid (IFB) #07A6143 for Generator Services in Los Angeles County. The purpose of this contract is to ensure the maintenance, inspection, and repair of generators used by Caltrans, thereby supporting their mission to provide a safe and efficient transportation system.

Work Details
The contractor shall furnish all labor, parts, tools, materials, equipment, machinery, travel, supplies, fees, and any incidentals necessary to provide routine and non-routine generator maintenance, inspection, and repair services to Caltrans. Specific services include:

1) Semi-Annual Routine generator maintenance (6 times annually),
2) Annual Routine generator maintenance (3 times annually), and
3) Non-Routine generator maintenance and repair services (152 hours as needed).

The maximum allowable expenditure for parts and materials will be reimbursed based on submitted original receipts.

Period of Performance
The contract will commence on December 15, 2025 (estimate) or upon approval by Caltrans, whichever is later. The contract is expected to expire on December 15, 2028 (estimate). Routine services will be provided from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except State holidays.

Place of Performance
Services will be performed at Caltrans District 7 Headquarters located at 100 South Main Street, Los Angeles, CA 90012.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must possess a valid C-10 Electrical Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) at the time of bid submission. Bidders must also have a current registration with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR). Additionally, bidders are encouraged to participate in small business programs and must comply with prevailing wage laws if the total bid exceeds $15,000.
