General Vendor List Application Fiscal Year 2025-2026

Background
The City of Palm Desert is inviting vendors to apply for inclusion on vendor lists for routinely required goods and services valued up to $250,000 for the fiscal year 2025-2026. This initiative is part of the City's adopted purchasing procedures under Municipal Code Title 3, Chapter 3.30, aimed at streamlining procurement processes for regular contracts and purchase agreements. Vendors must be deemed 'qualified' based on criteria established in the application to be eligible for opportunities to submit quotes or proposals.

Work Details
This application is open for general goods, contractual services, and professional services that do not require DIR registration and prevailing wage. Vendors must complete an application that includes providing proof of general liability insurance, workers' compensation insurance, and potentially automobile liability insurance if applicable.

Additionally, vendors are required to submit a completed IRS W-9 form or W-8 form if they are foreign entities, along with customer and supplier references.

Bidder Requirements
Vendors must possess valid licenses or certificates as required for the services offered. They must also hold a valid business license within any jurisdiction in the Coachella Valley.

Insurance requirements include maintaining a commercial general liability insurance policy with coverage amounts of at least $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 in aggregate. Additionally, an automobile liability insurance policy is required if applicable. Vendors must also provide proof of current workers’ compensation insurance.
