Full-Service Campus Wide Security Services

Background
San Diego State University, (University) is requesting proposals from firms qualified to provide Full-Service Campus Wide Security Services. The university has grown to become a leading public research university, and a federally-designated Hispanic-serving Institution. Each year, SDSU provides more than 36,000 students with the opportunity to participate in an academic curriculum distinguished by direct contact with faculty and an international emphasis that prepares them for a global future.
SDSU is alma mater to more than 400,000 alumni.

Work Details
The services provided by the Contractor shall include, but not limited to, full-service security and campus patrol, bag checks, crowd control, theft prevention, Athletic events, concerts, housing patrol and floor checks, library patrols including overnight shifts, and commencement staffing.
Multiple departments shall be using Contractor’s service. Contractor must be able to fulfill all requirements identified in the statement of work for each individual department simultaneously as well as the campus's more general needs.
The Contractor shall fulfill all staffing requests, provide all employees with all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and supervision necessary to provide security services.
Contractor shall certify that all staff is properly trained, over 18 years of age, has a minimum of one year experience in security services preferably, speaks, understands, and reads fluent English, is properly certified and licensed if applicable, and does not have a felony record.
Supervisors and management must be over 21 years of age.

Period of Performance
The contract term is anticipated to be for an initial (base) period of one (1) year with three (3) two-year options to extend.
