Description

Material and Installation purchase for CHCF Skid System. Note: Only those who attended the mandatory bid walk will be able to bid.
Background
The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) is seeking bids for the procurement and installation of portable Supplemental Chlorination and Hyperchlorination Skid Systems at the California Health Care Facility. This initiative aims to enhance water treatment processes within the facility, ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards. The contract is authorized under Penal Code Sections 7000-7001, emphasizing the importance of maintaining safe drinking water standards in correctional facilities.

Work Details
The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, and materials necessary to furnish and install portable Supplemental Chlorination and Hyperchlorination Skid Systems. The systems must include:

1. **Supplemental Chlorination Skid System** - A portable unit designed for domestic hot water chlorination, featuring a mobile cart with containment features, safety measures, accurate chlorine dosing capabilities, and NSF 61 certified materials. Key components include solenoid-driven diaphragm or peristaltic pumps, pressure gauges, valves, calibration cylinders, and a power distribution box.

2. **Hyperchlorination Skid System** - Intended for hyperchlorination of building water systems with adjustable flow rates from 5 GPH to 20 GPH. It includes similar components as the supplemental system but is designed for higher chemical dosing requirements.

3. **Plumbing Point-of-Connection** - Installation of new plumbing connections in mechanical rooms across two buildings (C & D), including tee fittings, isolation valves, and modifications to existing piping systems as per detailed specifications.

Period of Performance
The contract work is expected to commence upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed (NTP) following bid award and will continue until all installations are completed and accepted by CDCR. The final delivery date is set for August 26, 2025.

Bidders must have attended a mandatory walk-through on April 17, 2025. They must provide product information/cut sheets with their bid along with a complete list of materials including quantity, description, brand, and model for pre-award review by CDCR.
