Forklift and Manlift Preventive Maintenance & Repair Services

Background
The Long Beach Public Utilities Department (LBPUD) is seeking quotations for forklift and manlift preventive maintenance and repair services. The agency's mission is to ensure the efficient operation of its equipment, which includes various types of forklifts and manlifts. The goal of this contract is to maintain these machines in compliance with safety standards and operational efficiency, ensuring they are available for use as needed.

Work Details
The contractor will provide all necessary materials, tools, parts, equipment, and labor for preventive maintenance and as-needed repair services for LBPUD's forklifts and manlifts. Preventive maintenance will occur semi-annually at designated LBPUD facilities including the Operations Service Center, Treatment Plant, or Gas Facility. Specific models requiring service include:

Additionally, the contractor must adhere to OSHA standards during all maintenance and repair activities.

Period of Performance
The contract will be for a term of one year with the possibility of two one-year extensions based on mutual agreement.

Services will be performed at the following locations:
- LBPUD Operations Service Center: 1731 E. 33rd Street, Long Beach, CA
- Treatment Plant: 2950 Redondo Ave Long Beach, CA
- Gas Facility: 2400 E. Spring Street Long Beach, CA.

Bidder Requirements
Bidders must be licensed and certified by the State of California for forklift and manlift maintenance and repairs. They must also be located within a 70-mile radius of LBPUD. Proof of licensing and certification is required prior to contract issuance.
